HAMBURGER AND PICTURE DAY

SATURDAY, AUGUST 18TH

BOWIE HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA & COURTYARD

Hamburger and Picture Day is an annual Bowie Football event. Team as well as individual photos of the players and coaches are taken during the early morning hours.  Meanwhile,  the "BBQ Dawg" dads are hard at work grillin' us something great to eat for lunch.  Parents have the opportunity to join the Booster Club, as well as purchase the latest in Bowie Football spirit wear. Lunch is served around 10:30 am. This is an exciting and fun day for the families, coaches and players, and it is a great opportunity to meet fellow Bowie Football families.

Varsity Players arrive at 7:00

Pictures at 8:00, Practice afterward

JV Players arrive at 8:00, Pictures at 9:00

Freshmen Players arrive at 9:00, Pictures at 10:00

Varsity/JV Players will eat at 10:45

Freshmen will eat after pictures

Booster Club/Parent Meeting with Coach Ables 12:00-12:45

Fundraiser Meeting 12:15-12:30

Players fundraiser Blitz 12:30-4:00

NOTE- If you are a brother of another player, please arrive by 7:30am for the "Band of Brothers" picture at 8:00am

VERY IMPORTANT FOR ALL PLAYERS:

DONATIONS: 

(All players are asked to bring the following):

FRESHMAN CLASS:

1. 12 bottles of 12oz Gatorade 
2. 1 LG canister of powdered Gatorade

SOPHOMORE CLASS:

1. 24 Bottles of water
2. 1 LG canister of powdered Gatorade

JUNIOR CLASS:

1. One case of small, individual chip bags
2. 1 LG canister of powdered Gatorade

SENIOR CLASS:

1. Desserts (cookies, brownies, etc)
2. 1 LG canister of powdered Gatorade

**All non-perishable items can be dropped off the day before by the locker rooms. Items dropped off the morning of the event need to be dropped off 

in the cafeteria by 8am**

Every player is asked to bring at least one large canister of powdered Gatorade that will be used for practices.

THIS IS A GREAT EVENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!

 MEET ALL OUR OUTSTANDING COACHES, HEAR ALL ABOUT THE UPCOMING SEASON FROM COACH ABLES AND GET TO KNOW OTHER BOWIE FOOTBALL FAMILIES! 

• Spirit Wear Sales:
  • 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Shirts, Hats, Stadium Chairs, etc
• Join Football Boosters!!!!
  • 10:00am-2:00pm
  • Sign-up at the event or go on-line to our website www.bowiefootball.org to join!
  • Sign-up to help out on various committees 
• Varsity Fence Signs:
  • All families of varsity players and senior trainers are able to paint a sign for your player to be hung on the fence in front of the school and practice field. We will supply boards, paint, brushes, and basic letter and number stencils. If you have anything special you want to use to paint your player sign, please bring your own supplies. 
  • **BOARDS WILL BE PROVIDED. DO NOT BRING YOUR OWN BOARD. DO NOT BRING LETTERS, NUMBERS AND APPLIQUES TO GLUE ONTO BOARDS. THIS DAMAGES THE BOARDS AND THEY CANNOT BE REUSED IN SUBSEQUENT YEARS! STICKERS ARE FINE.***
  • Paint times are 8:00am-10:00am 
  • If a parent is NOT there by 10:00am, a cheerleader will make the sign for you, unless you notify use before Saturday.  All boards need to be completed by noon on Hamburger Day!!  SEE EMAIL FOR MORE DETAILS.
• Food Service:
  • 10:30am-12:00pm- Eat some yummy hamburgers provided by Football Boosters and meet fellow football families!
• Parent Meeting with the Coaches: 
  • 12:00pm-12:45pm (please note time change!)
  • In the Cafeteria 
  • Football Booster Board Members will talk about all the great things happening this season. 
  • Coaches are strongly encouraging at least 1 family member per player attend this meeting!
